LOS ANGELES, CA – March 16, 2011 –Be prepared for your Southern California pride to swell when Charles Phoenix presents his first ever Retro Knott’s Berry Farm Slide Show at Knott’s at the historic Bird Cage Theater in Knott’s historic Ghost Town for one show only on Sunday afternoon, May 15 at 2 p.m.

With his infectious enthusiasm and keen eye for detail, Charles shares the amazing evolution of Knott’s from the humble berry farm beginnings in the 20’s, to world class theme park in the 40s, 50s and 60s. You’ll learn how Walter Knott discovered the boysenberry, why Mrs. Knott began serving her famous fried chicken dinners and what inspired the creation America’s first permanent theme park, Ghost Town.

Knott’s fans will enjoy the back story of Ghost Town’s historic buildings, unique displays, curio shops, colorful characters, and favorite attractions including the haunted shack, the mine train, log ride and much more! Your imagination will be inspired and your spirit will soar!
