Epic Pie-Stuffed Cake Attempts Getaway!

Every season is Cherpumple season in the Charles Phoenix Test Kitchen, and Halloween is SO no exception. For the first time I bravely attempted to make a Cherpumple in the shape of Jack-O-Lantern! Seemed like the logical thing to do.

To create the desired round pumpkin shape, I used glass bowls for the top and bottom layers. I also added extra yellow food coloring to the yellow layer, with the pumpkin pie in it, and lots of orange color to the spice layer with the apple pie in it, to make it super extra candy corn colorized.

It all seemed to be going fine in the beginning. The glass bowls for the round shape worked out perfectly for the top and bottom layers and it stacked up and frosted just fine.

But then the Cherpumple Jack-O-Lantern turned evil on me, and tried to run away !!! …
