Astro Weenie Christmas Tree Test Kitchen creation, submitted by Trase Passantino
A few years ago, we attended a Luau Party, and being inspired by the AWCT, I made an Astro Weenie Tiki God as my dish to pass. It included chunks of pineapple, pimento-stuffed green olives, Maraschino cherries, Li’l Smokies wieners, and chunks of Spam, all attached with colored toothpicks. It was a large block of floral foam, wrapped in tin foil, and I used a carved Polynesian Pop bowl as the base to keep it upright. It was a hit!
