Hi Charles. I like this picture. I would like to cross America with this car of 1957. These pictures my friend Charles make my day really. My heart and soul are there! The fifties with the most beautiful cars and women!!

I was born in 1957... so in a twisted way, I felt somehwat young again, after looking at the condition of that Plymouth. Even still, a great story.

I would love to see it come out looking like the peach that it is but my understanding of how relentless water can be over time leads me to suspect it may need more than some turtle wax to bring it back. HOPE I'M WRONG!! Bon Voyage Charles, can't wait for the juicy details!

If only it was a '57 Fury, I'd be there! The Fury was a swank ride. But, the Belvedere is not far off.

The notion that the car was prone to rust has more to do with driving it, not parking it. Most old cars are judged by the rust the shows up under the trim pieces and behind the rear tires on the fenders. Some are horrible, like my old 1964 Barracuda, some good, like my 1963 Mercury. But, parked in a concrete tomb, who knows?

I look forward to seeing it!

Just happened to look on Wikipedia for info on David Gates of the group "Bread"-- it says he had a band when he was in high school in Tulsa... and in 1957 they backed up Chuck Berry!

Oh Charles, I'm sure it's just a typo, but the unearthing is on Friday, the 15th, not the 16th and I would so hate for you to miss it, and me to miss the opportunity to meet you. Can't wait to see you in T-Town!

Charles honey,

You, and ONLY you, should drive this baby home! Your passengers should be Johnny Depp, Ann Margaret and Little Richard.

Oh and don't forget the air kisses as you wave to the fans.

Yay, Charles Phoenix is coming to Tulsa! I can't wait! I sure would love to shake your hand--even more incentive to brave the crowds downtown that day.
