Like teenagers EVERYWHERE, I "cruised" Fremont Street back in the 70's. WHAT A DESPERATELY BORING EXPERIENCE THAT WAS (maybe I should have seen it through the drugged-up eyes of our hippys TO REALLY APPRECIATE IT: IN ALL OF ITS' LSD TABBED TECHNICOLOR GLORY HIGHLIGHTED BY JIMMY HENDRIX BLASTING FROM OUR CHERISHED 4 WATT PIONEER 8-TRACK TAPE PLAYER OUT OF THE BACK OF THE GRAY, EX-GOVERNMENT, FORD FAIRLANE CHUMP BOUGHT!). I couldn't wait to get home to watch "THE VEGAS VAMPIRE" on Howard Hugh's CHANNEL 5 back then. Aside from being propositioned by the $10 hippy chick prostitutes that haunted Fremont Street with thier sad "I'm a REAL HIPPY NOW" , vacant stares, THE VEGAS VAMPIRE was REGULAR ENTERTAINMENT! LOL! Years later, the Vegas Vampire was suceeded by the Elvis Themed... COUNT COOL RIDER, "Hisssssss!" That WAS "THE REAL LAS VEGAS BABY!!!"
