On May 5, 6, 7 and 8, 2005, I’m very proud to present BOB BAKER THIS IS YOUR LIFE - a tribute to the world’s greatest puppeteer. I will host the celebration and tell the story of Bob’s life and career with slides, photos and film clips.

And what would this long-overdue tribute be without a puppet show revue extravaganza. For the first time ever, hundreds of amazing vintage Bob Baker marionettes, more than have ever been assembled for any other show, will appear in classic routines like ONIONS IN THE PETUNIA PATCH -1955 (see the attached Slide of the Week). Many of the marionettes haven’t appeared on stage in decades. They are amazing

The highlight of the evening will be a special performance by the master himself. Hard to believe but he has been performing for nearly 75 years - since he was eight. Afterwards there will be a reception in the festive party room where you can meet Bob and say hello! Cake & ice cream will be served in style

There could be no better place for this experience than the country’s oldest continuously operated puppet theatre, the Bob Baker Marionette Theatre-downtown Los Angeles since 1961.
